Where to upgrade Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5

Only certain NPCs can upgrade your weapons this season, so you need to make sure to make a note of them.

  • Reese: Dirty Docks
  • Brutus: Dirty Docks
  • Grimbles: Fort Crumpet
  • Kit: Catty Corner
  • Reaper: Southwest of Sweaty Sands
  • Kondor: Misty Meadows
  • Sparkplug: Lazy Lake
  • Tomato Head: Pizza Pit
  • Beef Boss: Durr Burger Food Truck
  • Fishstick: Craggy Cliffs

One challenge requires you to Upgrade Weapons, so you may want to focus on visiting different NPCs and upgrading your basic grey weapons to uncommon, which only costs 25 Gold Bars a pop. The characters (or NPCs) are only available in standard matches, so you cannot upgrade weapons in a Team Rumble match.
