To play the flute in Ghost of Tsushima, you can hit left on the touchpad. Doing this will make your character start playing the flute and change the weather in the game. Towards the start, the only melody you will know is “The Sun’s Warm Embrace.” Playing that one makes the weather bright and sunny, as the name implies.

As you progress through the game, you will begin unlocking additional songs. You can do this by collecting Singing Crickets, which are found around the map. The three other songs you can unlock in Ghost of Tsushima are A Chorus of Raindrops, Lament of the Storm, and Shadows in the Fog.

After unlocking the second melody, you can head into the menu to the gear screen. Tap the flute playing icon to select which melody you want to play. Play the flute to change the weather in a specific way. Here is how each song affects the weather:

  • Lament of the Storm – Stormy
  • Shadows in the Fog – Foggy

Each type of weather has its advantages and disadvantages, so use them wisely. Try out different techniques, and you may find some interesting ways to use the weather to your advantage.
