As we have said once before, Fire Emblem Engage much like any good JRPG and Fire Emblem instalment in the long-running series offers plenty to explore and analysis to make for the best runs in the game, regardless of difficulty. Knowing exactly which builds, weapons and units to prioritize will make or break your playthrough, so here’s a helpful hand in making the most out of one of the best magical based weapons with the biggest potential in the right hands – the Thunder tome.
How to get Thunder in Fire Emblem Engage
Thunder is a pretty massive asset to have in Fire Emblem Engage – refining it with either Ike or Roy makes for a truly devastating weapon to continuously upgrade by giving it some love and resources during the trips you make to the Smithy. Strengthen it by forging and you will have one of the deadliest tome-based weapons in the game. Although knowing how and where to obtain it is the first thing you should note rather than the reasons why you should buff it – but do so immediately once you have your hands on it for an easy, early-game boost.

The first time you will come across the Thunder Tome that you can personally make use of as a weapon on your army’s side is in Chapter 7 when automatically recruiting Citrinne, one of Alcryst’s retainers.
Alternatively, you can compile way more Thunder Tomes by purchasing them from the Armory once Chapter 9 comes and goes since it becomes a newly available weapon you can buy from there during your visits back to the home world of the Somniel. This is always priced at 1,000 G.
