How to Get the Second Floor Upgrade in Roblox Restaurant Tycoon 2

The more upgrades you get, the more money you make!

Restaurant Tycoon 2 is a free tycoon game on Roblox. This game has gained massive amounts of popularity due to its unconventional gameplay; in addition to being a lot more in-depth than most tycoon games on Roblox, Restaurant Tycoon 2 is also part management simulator. You actually get to cook, serve, and clean up after the customers in your restaurant, and you even get to hire employees after you make enough money!

Restaurant Tycoon 2 may not be your average tycoon game, but it still largely operates like one. The longer you play, the more money you get; the more money you get, the more upgrades you’ll be able to buy that will earn you even more money. One upgrade that is notoriously difficult to get in Roblox Restaurant Tycoon 2 is the second-floor upgrade, which adds a second floor to your restaurant. Keep reading to figure out how to get the second-floor upgrade in Roblox Restaurant Tycoon 2!

How to Get the Second Floor Upgrade in Roblox Restaurant Tycoon 2

The notoriously elusive second-floor upgrade in Restaurant Tycoon 2 isn’t cheap or easy to get, but it’s definitely worth it. Once you’ve got a second floor added to your restaurant, you’re no longer confined to the limited floor space on the ground; the second-floor upgrade essentially copies/pastes the first floor of your restaurant onto the second floor, which means you’ll be able to make twice the amount of money as before without ever needing to expand your plot! It may not seem worth the effort at first, but getting the second-floor upgrade is one of the smartest things you can do in Roblox Restaurant Tycoon 2.

As previously stated, the second-floor upgrade is very difficult to obtain, and it may be a while before you’re even able to unlock it. The upgrade can only be unlocked once you’ve essentially maxed out all of the first-floor upgrades (Expanded Plot, Expanded Plot 2, Expanded Plot 3, Outdoor Expansion, etc.), and if that wasn’t bad enough, you’ll have to fork over $8,000 of your profits just to buy it. To reiterate, this upgrade may take a while to get, but it is definitely worth the effort in the long run.

Once you finally unlock the second-floor upgrade (and manage to save up $8,000), you can purchase it immediately in the upgrades tab. To get to the upgrades tab, all you need to do is click on the Restaurant icon at the bottom of the screen and scroll down; the second-floor upgrade should be the second to last upgrade on the list.

The second-floor upgrade may be one of the last upgrades in the entire game, but the game is far from over once the upgrade is installed! After you get the second-floor upgrade, you’ll still need to save up for the mega plot upgrade, which is even harder to get! If we can take any wisdom from Restaurant Tycoon 2, it’s that capitalism never sleeps, not even in Roblox games. Happy cooking!
