How to Fix Escape From Tarkov Bad Gateway Error

To start, you should avoid taking any drastic action and try relaunching Escape From Tarkov. If the issue is fixed as a result, then great! If not, then no harm, no foul. Sometimes, errors like this can be flushed out by recycling the game client, but it’s not a guaranteed fix. If that doesn’t work, try restarting your PC and/or restarting your internet router.

At this point, we’re engaging in trial and error to determine what specifically is causing the Bad Gateway Error. If the problem persists after your PC and router come back online, then it’s probably not related to your internet connection. In fact, there’s also the possibility that this Bad Gateway Error is not related to anything you have done, and in this case there’s not much you can really do from your end. If none of the above fixes did anything to solve this issue, you can always try uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but aside from that, your best bet is to wait for Battlestate Games to issue an official patch.

It’s entirely possible that you might experience a Bad Gateway Error shortly after an update or patch, as one cause is server overload. If the game’s servers simply can’t meet the demand, players might be given this error while the strain is reduced. But, it’s also possible that the developers will need to issue a patch to ensure all players are once again able to access Escape From Tarkov.
