How to Find the Cat Badge in Stray

Stray is a breathtakingly beautiful game about a brave little kitty that has to wander through a post-apocalyptic, cyberpunk city to find his home! If you love games with cute kitties and unexpectedly detailed environments, you’ll immediately fall in love with this game. Although Stray is by no means a huge game, it’s landscapes are full of interactable items, such as collectables, boosts, and badges! One badge that’s easy to get early in the game is the Cat Badge. This badge isn’t too difficult to locate, but it can be hard to find if you don’t have a lot of time to spare, or don’t have a guide. Keep reading if you’d like to know how to get the Cat Badge in Stray!

Where to Find the Cat Badge in Stray

This badge is easier to find than you might think! The Cat Badge can be found in Midtown in Chapter 10 of Stray, so you’ll need to get to Chapter 10 first if you want to get this badge. If you want to know where to look to find the Cat Badge in Stray, follow these steps:

  • Open Stray on your PC or PlayStation Console.
  • As soon as you enter Midtown, head towards the bright green sign to the right of the main street. Next to this sign, there should be a robot in a white coat arguing with a shopkeeper in a store. Hop up onto the store counter, and go inside the shop.
  • There should be a room behind the counter that has shelves that you can jump onto. At the top of these climbable shelves is a safe that contains the Cat Badge, but it needs a code to open it. To find the code, look along the walls of the backroom until you find find a poster that you’re able to interact with.
  • Once you interact with this poster, you should be given the code to the safe.
    • The code will be written backwards, so when you put the code into the safe, be sure to put it in opposite the way it was shown on the wall.
  • Once you have the code, hop up onto the shelving units and make your way to the top.
  • Input the code into the safe, and it will unlock and allow you to grab what’s inside: the Cat Badge!
  • Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of the Cat Badge in Stray!
