You can find the Mysterious Treasure map in the basement of an old manor. The manor is also home to a Merlin Trial and Ancient Power Hotspot – so make sure you get those done while you’re here. You’ll find a nearby fast travel point over on the southwest side of the map, right along the cliff edge. The place you’re going to is right up the cliff from it.

Once you arrive at the fast travel point, you have two options:

  • If you have Alohomora Level 3, you can proceed directly into the manor itself, and use the spell to break the lock to the basement.
  • If you don’t have Alohomora Level 3, head up a path in the manor’s garden until you reach a statue. Light the brazier with Incendio or Confringo, and the statue will spin to reveal an entranceway. Enter, and you’ll have made it into the basement.

You’ll find the dark wizard Alisa Travers here, as well as an Inferi called lord of the manor. These are both sitting pretty at level 27, so beating them is no mean feat. Although, they’re nothing a quick Crucio and Avada Kedavra can’t take care of.

Once both are dead, you’ll be able to find the Mysterious Treasure Map in a chest in the same room you fought the bosses.

The Mysterious Treasure Map is going to point you toward a location. The Tomb of Treachery, to be exact – a dangerous tomb hidden behind a waterfall in the middle of the map. You can have a look at the image above if you need help finding it.

The entrance to the tomb will be guarded by Trolls, don’t think your troubles are over just yet. Once inside, you’ll be dealing with more Inferi – so make sure you bring a fire spell.

This tomb itself isn’t actually too difficult to navigate. Proceed through it regularly until you come across your first puzzle – everyone’s favorite game of “find the moth”. This won’t take you too long – the moths are all relatively close together:

  • You’ll find the first moth through an open door to your right when you first enter the puzzle room.
  • To your left, you’ll find the second moth hidden behind some cobwebs. Use Confringo or Incendio to burn them.
  • The last moth is located down a passage, also to the left hidden behind some cobwebs. You’ll need to use the block hidden next to a ledge and use it to climb up to the moth.

In case you didn’t know – you need to cast Lumos near these moths to get them to follow you. After that, bring them back to the door and put Lumos out. Do this for all three, and the door will open.

When you step through the moth door, you’ll be in the final chamber of the tomb. A bunch of Inferi are going to spawn on top of you – kill them all.

If you managed to survive the encounter, look down and you’ll see a three-by-three grid of tile stones matching the ones on the Mysterious Treasure Map.

Equip Flipendo, and hit these tiles:

  • Top Middle.
  • Bottom Left.
  • Bottom Right.

After that, the middle stone will open up, revealing a chest. Open the chest to receive the Treasure-Seeker’s Attire, and complete the Mysterious Treasure Map in Hogwarts Legacy.
