How to Complete ‘Solved By The Bell’ Puzzle in Hogwarts Legacy

We’re going to show you how to complete ‘Solved By the Bell’ in Hogwarts Legacy. The quest’s puzzle is more of a nuisance than it is difficult, so we’re going to run you through the solution — letting you complete the quest and get your rewards without doing any of the heavy lifting yourself.

The ‘Solved By The Bell’ puzzle rewards the player with a unique set of robes. At least, the cosmetic version — you don’t get the robes as gear itself. Still, it’s worth seeking it out, whether you’re a completionist or you’re just sick of this quest sitting in your menu.

Hogwarts Legacy — How to Complete ‘Solved By The Bell’

To complete ‘Solved By The Bell’ in Hogwarts Legacy, you need to navigate over to Clagmar Castle. This is the location pictured above, tucked right into the southeastern corner of the Clagmar Coast region. If you haven’t discovered the Floo Flame there, you’ll have to fly it.

The Castle is home to a fair number of enemies — so you’ll have to take them all out. You’ll also be dealing with an Infamous Wizard here, so you’ll want to make sure you’re prepared for one hell of a fight. Of course, you could take advantage of Avada Kedavra instead.

Either way, clear out the castle. Hop on your broom, and cast Revelio while within the Castle ruins. You should see the bells you’re looking for highlighted. Make your way over to them (they’re towards the center of camp).

How to Complete the ‘Solved By The Bell’ Puzzle

If you open the note that gave you the ‘Solved By The Bell’ quest, you’ll notice that the bells on it match the ones you’re now seeing in person.

On the note, each bell has a musical note next to it, with a sequence at the bottom. You’ll need to play the correct bells in order, according to that sequence.

You can go ahead and work this out yourself if you want. Alternatively, you could let me do the hard work for you. The order you need to hit the ‘Solved By The Bell’ bells is:

• Eight.
• Five.
• Three.
• Four.
• Five.
• One.
• Two.
• Four.

Does that sound familiar? It should, because it’s Hedwig’s Theme — or the Harry Potter theme song. The game will repeat the theme back to you before a chest spawns on the platform across from the bells.

Open this chest and you’ll be rewarded with the cosmetic version of the Treasure Seeker’s Longcoat — a unique, and rather dashing-looking set of robes.
