It’s important to note you can only interact with the doors on two of the maps: Polis and The Skeld. You cannot interact with the doors on Mira HQ as an imposter. So, what’s the point of closing doors as an imposter? There are various benefits and strategies you can use involving the doors.

First off, messing with the doors can help you lock people out of a room if you need to take someone out or hide a body. You can also separate crew members and spread some misinformation to make crewmates skeptical of each other.

As a crew member, you can open doors on your own on Polus. To do this, head over to a locked door and interact with it. There will be eight red switches you need to flip to open it up. Now you know how to open and close doors in Among Us.
