Bungie has brought a plethora of new content to season 21 of Destiny 2. The Season of the Deep brings players back to Titan (even if it’s only for activities) to find out more about The Witness. And while there are new activities and gear for players to obtain, the real endgame has finally released. We’re talking about the fishing that you can now do in Destiny 2. On certain planets, players can grab some bait, and relax by the pond and catch some fish with fellow Guardians. While they might add more locations as the game releases more content, there are currently 3 fishing spots. We are going to focus on one, and figure out how to catch fish in the Miasma in Savathun’s Throne World in Destiny 2.
How to Catch Fish in the Miasma in Savathun’s Throne World in Destiny 2
Starting the new season, players of course will be met with an immediate seasonal quest. This introduces Guardians to the new/old location, as well as some of the new features, such as diving below the methane water of Titan. You’ll complete the new seasonal activity, talk to the characters that are important for the season, and obtain another seasonal quest. This quest, called “Gone Fishin'” will give players their very own fishing tackle. It comes equipped with a fishing rod, and bait. While it’s not required to have bait to fish, you won’t catch anything worthwhile without it. Once you have completed 2 other locations, the mission will task you with catching fish on Savathun’s Throne World.

Travel to the Quagmire landing zone and make your way north to the Maisma location. You can tell where the fishing pond is located by the bright beam of light shining into the sky. It should be worth mentioning that a fishing pond won’t appear if there is a public event currently happening in the Miasma. When you get to the pond and approach the edge of the water, you’ll get a prompt to hold the interact button to start fishing. Your Guardian will cast their line into the water, and now you wait. You’ll know when you have a bite if the bobble at the end of your line starts moving up and down. Press the interact button as soon as you see this, and players can get even better fish the quicker you are at reeling them in.
