The original System Shock wasn’t too long of a game, but with all of the new revamped features that will be included in the remake, it’s easy to wonder whether that will transfer over into the new game or not. Keep reading to find out how long the System Shock remake is supposed to be!

How Long is the System Shock Remake?

The remake of System Shock is about as long as its predecessor, meaning it shouldn’t take more than a few days to complete.

According to HowLongToBeat.com, the original 1994 version of System Shock took completionists about 21 hours to complete. Completing its main story only took about 13 hours, and completing all of its side missions in addition to the main story took about 15 hours.

Based on the fact that the developers of the System Shock remake are trying to make the game as close to the original as possible, we can safely assume that the remake is going to be approximately the same length.

Can You Play the System Shock Remake Multiplayer?

The original System Shock only had single-player capabilities, and although it would be amazing if its remake offered more, the System Shock remake will unfortunately only allow single-player gameplay.

Although the remake of the original System Shock won’t allow multiplayer, its successor will! When it’s released, System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition will allow multiplayer co-op. You can get access to this game as soon as it is released simply by pre-ordering the System Shock remake!

Although you won’t be able to play the remake multiplayer, you still have System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition to look forward to!

Whether you’re a long-time fan of the original game or not, you should definitely be getting excited about the System Shock remake. This highly-anticipated game promises to be one of the best remakes of the year, so don’t miss out on it if you have the chance!
