How Long Is Assassin’s Creed: Mirage? Answered

Assassin's Creed: Mirage is bringing the series back to its roots, but what does that mean for the game's length?

The latest title in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, is real, and this new game looks to be a significant departure from the last few entries in the series. Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla brought Ubisoft’s flagship title into the open-world RPG market, offering experiences that were meant to keep players invested for over a hundred hours.

Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, however, is looking to take things back to the series’ roots. This new entry follows the character Basim from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla as he embarks on his journey to becoming a master Assassin. A new lead character and era has given Ubisoft the chance to cut out the RPG mechanics and staggeringly large world of recent titles. With a focus on stealth mechanics and deep storytelling, it’s fair to say that Mirage will take players a significantly shorter amount of time to complete than its recent predecessors.

With the game’s official release date still undetermined, it’s impossible to say for sure how long Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will be. However, Ubisoft has been very clear that this game is an homage to the origins of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, so it’s safe to assume that it will take about as long as some of those older titles.

The original Assassin’s Creed takes about 15 hours to complete, while Assassin’s Creed II takes roughly 20-25 to see through. With these numbers in mind, it stands to reason that Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will likely be about 20-30 hours, with a 100%-completion run probably taking anywhere between 40-50 hours.

It’s also worth noting that Mirage is priced at $50 USD, a full $10 USD less than the standard AAA game release price. This suggests that Ubisoft might be trying to get ahead of any backlash over the game’s length not justifying a higher price point.
