The Outer Worlds is a new RPG game from Obsidian Entertainment releasing on October 25th, 2019. Players get to take control of a character who has been cryogenically frozen for 70 years. The character and their crew were on a mission towards utopian planet called Halcyon, but things didn’t go exactly as planned.
As with most RPGs, people are curious exactly how much content is in the game, and how long it will take to complete it.
How Long Does It Take To Beat The Outer Worlds?
The Outer Worlds has an average length of about 30 hours play time. This will vary greatly depending on how deep you like to explore the world. There are many small side quests and lore to be discovered throughout the game.
If you want to try out every possible weapon, finish all the side quests, and explore every little nook and cranny, you could very well spend up to 60-100 hours roaming around Halcyon. Boss encounters are also reportedly challenging and require some practice and planning.
Supposedly, the game does a great job poking fun of corporate culture. As it turns out, the planet Halcyon was inevitably taken over by powerful intergalactic corporations and it’s your job to investigate what happened.
Some early pre-release reviews have praised The Outer Worlds for having memorable characters, an interesting world, lots of quests and a solid story line. The game is available for pre-order and will be released on October 25th, 2019 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
