But with merely minutes standing in between gamers and that sweet, sweet W, some folks just can’t seem to wait until the game’s official release to enjoy all that it has to offer players. Officially, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 doesn’t actually release until 1 pm ET, 10 am PT, 7 pm CET, and 6 pm GMT. Players were able to begin pre-loading Warzone 2.0 or updating Modern Warfare 2 as early as last night.

So, realistically, no one should be playing the game right now, right? Well, some players have seemingly found a way around this with a simple trick. Players from around the world have discovered that if they change their console’s region, that they’re able to slip past this sort of velvet rope Infinity Ward has up, and sneak through into the game.

There are some regions where the game has launched, so by doing this, some players are actually getting the full game ahead of time. Though this trick is kind of a waste of time and energy when you think about the fact that it releases everywhere in only a few minutes.

Inifity Ward has even commented on the situation, stating on Twitter “If you are trying to change your console’s region setting in order to access #MWII early, you will experience connectivity issues and may be locked out of the game until the official launch time of your region.”.

So, it’s really not worth the trouble if you have the patience to wait until the game fully releases everywhere. It’s one less headache to have to deal with, in reality.
