There was so much anticipation for the upcoming characters for the 3.5 update in Genshin Impact. The divide between Dehya and Cyno was insane. Personally, I didn’t want to wish for any of the characters because I wasn’t sold on the idea that Dehya or Cyno were great. As I did more research I learned a lot of facts about the characters which made me even more reluctant to wish on them. Genshin Impact just recently released their 3.5 update and here’s why Dehya is the worst 5 star character you can wish for on Genshin Impact.

Dehya Genshin Impact
Yes, Dehya and Cyno are both five star characters. Yes, they’re cool to look at. That’s about it. Dehya is probably one of the worst five star characters you would want to wish on. The first reason why I believe she’s terrible is because rumor has it the developers originally wanted to make her a 4 star character. I’m not the only one who thought she was going to be a 4 star character. 8 months ago, reddit took to debate when a post said Dehya is a 4 star character. As the comment suggest, this didn’t age well.
What really confirmed for me that Dehya wasn’t the best was when we saw her fail miserably at trying to kill a Hydro Slime. She eventually killed it but it took forever. Her abilities as a Pyro character should make her strong, especially with her background as a bodyguard. Fans are also asking MiHoYo to buff Dehya because she’s so weak. Her skills required her to have a high energy recharge, she had short buffs, her ultimate wasn’t the best. She’s just not a reliable character to place in battle and it’s a shame because I had such high hopes for her. I guess I won’t be pulling any characters during this banner and I’ll stick to my Fischl main.
I will say that Dehya has one of the sweetest stories and she’s someone who advocates for children. This is probably the only reason I adore her. She actually donates her Mora to make a donation to provide for orphans. I’m crying. She’s so nice.
Who should you wish for 3.5 Update Genshin Impact?
I believe that if you really wanted to wish on a character you should wish for Ayaka. Yes, it’s not Cyno. It’s going to have to be Ayaka for me. The reason I wanted to pick Ayaka is because I need strong Cryo characters on my team. She’s currently one of the strongest, in my opinion, and when she uses her Cryo abilities they’re just amazing in terms of damage. If you really don’t need another Cryo on your team I guess you could go for Cyno because he definitely can hold his own. I’m going to be team Ayaka for this one.
Skipping on Cyno and Dehya.
