Epic Games has announced Fortnite Crew, a new subscription service for Fortnite launching on December 2, with Season 5. The news of this feature first went out when Epic Games sent a survey about whether players would be interested. It looks like that went well because it didn’t take long for Epic to roll it out.

The Fortnite Crew monthly subscription costs $11.99 per month and gives players access to exclusive cosmetics and in-game currency every month. For die-hard Fortnite fans that frequently purchase V-Bucks, it looks like a good value.

Fortnite Crew Rewards for December

Here’s what you get every month with a Fortnite Crew subscription:

  • 1,000 V-Bucks
  • An exclusive Outfit Pack
  • Full Season Battle Pass

For December, players can enjoy the Galaxia Outfit and Style, the Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe, and Fractured World Back Bling.

To go into some more detail about each of the rewards, here’s what you can expect. Every month you are subscribed, you’ll get some in-game items and V-Bucks. First, you get 1,000 V-Bucks every month to spend on whatever you like from the Fortnite Item Shop.

Next, you get an exclusive Fortnite Crew Pack every month, which will feature skins only be available to subscribers. You also get full access to the season Battle Pass. It seems that even if you cancel your subscription, you still retain your Battle Pass. You do not need to stay subscribed for the entire duration of the season.

Epic Games dropped this announcement video on YouTube on November 24:

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 launches on December 2, 2020. Read more about Fortnite Crew and sign up for the new subscription package on the official Fortnite website.
