You can travel to any of these locations and even shoot down the UFOs and take down the pilot. After taking down a UFO, you’ll have the ability to control it like you would a normal vehicle. UFOs have two attacks you can use to take down enemy players. The AI piloting the UFOs also have a chance to drop some alien tech weapons, including the Ray Gun, Rail Gun, Pulse Rifle, and Recon Scanner.
You may also notice some purple smoke at a few locations and wonder what this means. The purple smoke in Fortnite locations means IO (Imagine Order) guards are in that area. Expect some hostile activity if you land in these zones. It’s an excellent opportunity to get some loot, though, since they aren’t challenging to kill.
