EA has just released the new Julian Brandt Headliners SBC, the first Headliners card you can add to your Squad. Below we’ve got our review for this new card, along with the requirements and cheapest solutions for how to complete the FIFA 22 Headliners Julian Brandt SBC.
What are Headliners in FIFA 22?
According to EA Sports, this new type of card focuses on player performances that have got the world talking, and now they’re set to write a whole new year of football headlines in 2022. As a special promo card, all Headliners cards are permanently upgraded compared to any qualifying performance-based items or their base item if they haven’t received a qualifying upgrade.
Then, they can receive two additional one-time upgrades based upon individual and team performances in the remainder of the 2021-22 season. If a Headliner gets picked into the Team of the Week or Man of the Match or their club manages to achieve four back-to-back wins during the rest of domestic league season, they will receive an upgrade.
Regarding Team 1 that EA has just announced, Mbappe, Virgil van Dijk and Reece James are three favorites to receive the maximum number of upgrades, not to mention their in-game values. If you happen to pick one out of these three, don’t put it on the transfer market hastily.
Note:
- The winning streak starts being counted from the launch of Headliners on December 31. Domestic cups, UEFA competitions, and international fixtures do not count towards a club win streak.
- Headliner items will NOT be upgraded based on Player of the Month, and other campaigns like Team of the Year, Team of the Season, or other FUT Campaigns.
FIFA 22 Headliners Julian Brandt SBC Requirements and Cheapest Solutions
You need to complete two challenges to obtain the Julian Brandt Headliner card. In total, this SBC will cost you 65k, 69k, and 72k coins for PS, Xbox, and PC platforms, respectively. Also, you will receive two extra packs, 1x Small Rare Gold Players Pack and 1x Rare Mixed Players Pack.

FIFA 22 Julian Brandt Headliners SBC Review

For me, Julian Brandt Headliner is not a bad card. However, with the number of coins around 70k, you can easily buy De Bruyne or Bruno Fernandes, which cost you 45k and 20k coins, respectively. So obviously, there is mostly no point using this card.
Taking a closer look, Julian Brandt has over-84 attributes for all Pace, Shooting, Passing, and Dribbling. However, the stats are nothing too special. With only 79 Sprint Speed, he cannot make a long run from the center circle straight to the penalty area. His Shooting seems not too unique, as it’s enough to finish an opening opportunity but not enough to create something magnificent.
The same thing happens with his Passing. However, we can blame this on the current gameplay, where Passing seems to be somewhat neglected. Maybe his Dribbling is worth mentioning, with 89 Agility, 88 Balance, and 90 Ball Control. However, I don’t think it is worth your 75k coins and the space in your Squad, even on the bench. His most considerable value may be as fodder for the upcoming Icon SBC.
