FIFA 22’s developers have been dropping hints for months now, with the popular gaming franchise set to showcase some brand-new details at the EA Play Live event on July 17th. However, before even sniffing this date, EA has already leaked some information, like the new FUT Champs Weekend League format, as well as new rewards, gameplay, and tactical tweaks.
With so much already known about FIFA 22 (and much of it still unknown), it has left many fans wondering when (or if) they will get early access to the game. And it seems as though our prayers have been answered, with EA Sports officially releasing the closed beta codes yesterday, enabling players to get early access to the new FIFA 22 video game.
How to get into the FIFA 22 Closed Beta
FIFA 22 closed beta codes are relatively easy to get, but you will need to be a verified FUT Champions player to acquire them. In other words, that you will have had to win (at least) 27 matches in one weekend of competition in FIFA 21. If you’ve accomplished this feat in last year’s version of FIFA, you will be automatically sent beta codes for FIFA 22.
However, this is not the only way to retrieve beta codes for FIFA 22, as you can also sign up for EA emails to increase the chances of being selected randomly.
If you have not already signed up for EA emails, then you will need to:
- Go to your EA Account Email Preferences.
- Check the box to be “informed about new EA services and news.”
- Wait to be granted access, and once you’ve received a code, check the mode you want to access.
- Load the code onto your PlayStation or Xbox console.
The release of the FIFA 22 closed beta illustrates an exceptional way to reward those who put immense time into their FIFA 21 career, all the while giving them a glimpse of what’s to come.
Plus, the file size is nothing outrageous either, with players reporting the download size to be 39.067 GB.
Keep in mind that saved progress from the FIFA 22 beta version will not carry over to the full version or the EA Play Early Access version of FIFA 22. So, try not to waste too much time building up your footballer, or small-market club, because it’s nothing more than practice until the real thing drops later this year.
The FIFA 22 closed beta is likely to be closed on September 1st (based on previous years).
