FIFA 21 has not held back with their ever-evolving Festival of FUTball promotion, helping to shed light on the exciting matches that took place in Euro 2020 and Copa America. While there have been some tremendous additions to FIFA 21, one new card type is set to arrive very soon, and it may top everything EA’s done for us so far.
Summer Stars is a brand-new card type that’s just around the corner, giving massive upgrades to some of the world’s top footballers, as well as some fan favorites. To help you get started on everything you’ll need to know for the upcoming Festival of FUTball announcement, we have outlined the following.
Festival of FUTball: Summer Stars
Summer Stars was confirmed by PlayStation’s FIFA 21 Ultimate Team page recently, with a post explaining how the event works. Within the post, it’s stated that the top performers for this past month of play will be featured in the exclusive Summer Stars pack, in which they will receive huge (permanent) upgrades based on how well they’ve performed.Â
FIFA 21 Summer Stars Release Date
FIFA 21 Summer Stars is expected to replace the Path to Glory cards and will arrive on Friday, July 2nd at 7 pm CET.

FIFA 21 Summer Stars PredictionsÂ
While we don’t know who exactly will be included in the pack, we can expect these cards to celebrate some of the top performances from the Euro 2020 Group Stages. If this is the case, expect some of the following names to be included:
- Christiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
Despite Portugal’s inability to progress through the tournament, the world’s greatest footballer was up to his usual tricks. The current leader for the Golden Boot, Ronaldo, put up a miraculous five goals and one assist through 3 games of the competition. With his last goal at 2020 Euro tying him with Iran’s Ali Daei for most all-time goals at the international level (109). Christiano Ronaldo has (once again) been the class of the competition.
- Patrik Schick (Czech Republic)
One of the biggest winners from the Group Stages of the 2020 Euros was undoubtedly Patrik Schick. The 25-year old is the focal point of the Czech Republic’s attack and has been the breakout star of this year’s Euros. He’s currently second in the tournament with four goals scored (in just as many games) and has been the key to the Czech Republic’s dominance through the knockout stages. He’s more than worthy of being in the Festival of FUTball’s Summer Stars release for FIFA 21.
- Robert Lewandowski (Poland)
Lewandoski took his Polish side as far as he could in the 2020 Euro cup, scoring an outstanding three goals in just as many games played. At the age of 32, one might think that Lewandowski may have lost a step or been forgotten about with so much stiff competition coming up. And yet, he remains as one of the world’s elite strikers that likely would have advanced had they been able to notch another goal in their early 1-1 draw with Slovenia. Regardless, he played elite-level football throughout the tournament and should be expected to be included in the list of Festival of FUTball’s Summer Stars.
