Escape from Tarkov 12.6 Patch Notes

A big patch rolled out this morning for Escape from Tarkov which completely wipes all character data. The data wipe does not affect weapon assembly presets or the examined items encyclopedia. Patch notes for 12.6 were originally posted on the developer’s forums, and we have the full translated version down below for you to browse.

Some interesting new changes in the new patch include the ability to put flashlights on Helmets. There’s a new Scav Backpack that has the same space as the Scav BP minus the movement debuff. The flea market has a new “Captcha” feature now as well.

Escape from Tarkov 12.6 Patch Notes

Added:

  • “Captcha” has been added to the flea market. 
  • With suspicious actions at the flea market and in trading, captcha may appear. 
  • If you enter the captcha incorrectly three times, the account will be blocked from access to the flea market for 5 minutes, after which you will need to enter the captcha again to buy the item. 
  • Each subsequent thrice incorrect entry will increase the time of the ban. 
  • Access to trade will not be banned, but will require the entry of captcha. 
  • All caches for all publications increased by 2 lines (+20 cells). 
  • Improved display of objects through thermal imaging devices. Through thermal imagers, now, as in life, it is impossible to look through the glass. 
  • The ability to lean while lying down. 
  • Added the first iteration of Steam Audio, aimed at improving the positioning of sound in the game, with the Steam Audio: Binaural audio option in the game settings. By default, the option is disabled. 
  • Now at the flea market, it is impossible to exhibit items that were not found in the raid. This rule does not apply to weapons. 
  • When combining stacks of items found in the raid with those not found in the raid, all items become not found in the raid.
  • Items that were placed in a protected container receive the status “found in the raid,” only when leaving the location with the status “Survived” (“Run” is not taken into account).
  • When you exit with the status “ran” or death, all items in the inventory that you took out lose the status of “found in the raid.”
  • If you enter a raid with items that have the status “found in the raid,” then items lose this status.
  • When buying goods from a flea market, the item also loses the status “found in the raid.”
  • The reward for the quest received during the quest, crafted in the shelter, the drops received through the wild box have the status “found in the raid”.
  • All products of the Buyer do not have the status “found in the raid”.

Bot Enhancements:

  • The behavior of ordinary wilds has been improved; now they can cooperate. 
  • Fixed a bug that when a player lays down at the bot’s feet, that bot doesn’t fall into it. 
  • Fixed a bug when the capercaillie and his retinue did not respond to the enemy.
  • Fixed a bug where the capercaillie did not respond to the shots and death of his allies. 
  • Fixed a bug in which the navigator’s retinue did not occupy its position. 
  • The navigator’s retinue no longer rushes between points in peaceful behavior. 
  • Bots no longer attack the wild player who killed another wild player (aggressor). 
  • The variety of bot routes on locations has been increased.

Fixed:

  • A bug where the borders of the interface elements twitched. 
  • Mastering counter is now updated during the raid. 
  • One of the bugs in which a grenade was not heard.
  • Ripples in the FLIR thermal imager. 
  • A bug in which the item inspector on quest items could not open. 
  • One of the bugs of incorrect calculation of the amount of money when buying an item.
  • A bug when a grenade might not fly through the window if thrown too close to the window. 
  • A bug in which the character could pass through obstacles if they switched to cold weapons during a check of the fire regime of the weapon. 
  • A bug when the image in unused optics freezes if several sights have been installed. 
  • The bug of impossibility to complete the quest, if at the time of selecting the quest item, the player lost the connection to the server. 
  • A bug when the image of the sight hung after reconnecting. 
  • The sounds of audibility were taken away, lying movements, shortness of breath of a character from a third person.

  • Layering of the lot description. 
  • Bug deducting twice the number of items from the merchant when buying two items. 
  • A bug of overlapping the drop-down list of filters with the elements of the interface of the list of offers.

  • A bug when during the melee attack lying there was no animation.
  • A bug when a broken visor was visible against the background of assembly or modification screens in the Vault.
  • Spamming AI error on server related to bot path search.
  • Spamming error on the client “Graphics.CopyTexture called with null destination texture” when opening the inventory.
  • The lack of sound switching multiplicity on some sights.
  • An error occurred when the storage time of items in a letter displayed a negative value when opening a window or receiving a letter.
  • A bug in which the list of friends was not displayed, for an invitation to a group dialogue.
  • A bug in which deleted messages appeared in the dialog after writing new messages.
  • Fixed the incorrect position of the bottom of the “Old School” in the icon.
  • Various other bug fixes and issues. 
  • A large number of fixes on locations (fix cooling, physical colliders, visual bugs, etc.). 
  • Various localization edits.
  • Various fixes in the animation system.
  • Various network fixes.
  • A large number of various technical fixes aimed at increasing the stability of the game.

Modified by:

  • The sound notification about the completion of crafting items during the raid has been removed.
  • Now you can not throw grenades during the sprint.
  • Changed conditions for the status of “Survived”. Now you need to stay in the raid for at least 10 minutes or gain at least 600 experience before leaving the location.
  • Increased the amount of experience required for the first 20 levels of the character.
  • Simplified quests Huntsman.
