Watch Dogs: Legion is Ubisoft’s new action-adventure title releasing on October 29, 2020. Work your way through London with your hacker group, DedSec, to stop a syndicate crime boss and take back the city. Before the game’s release, many players are wondering, does Watch Dogs: Legion have multiplayer? Here’s everything you need to know if you want to play the game with friends.
Does Watch Dogs: Legion have multiplayer?
Watch Dogs: Legion multiplayer launches on December 3 and is not available during the initial launch. Multiplayer will be coming to the game through a patch, which will likely include many more updates. There will be a few different multiplayer modes, including co-op, free-roam, and deathmatch.
Co-op mode allows players to go through story missions, events, and tac-ops missions in a party of four. Free-roam will also be available, a sandbox mode that allows players to explore London together in their group. Deathmatch will also be coming to Watch Dogs: Legion. The new player-versus-player game mode is called Spider-Bot Arena. Eight players control a robotic spider and fight it out to death.
Ubisoft has announced more upcoming game modes after release but has not provided further details. Players will likely see a return of Invasion down the line. Invasion is a mode where players try and steal information from other players without being caught.
Watch Dogs: Legion Multiplayer Cross-play
Watch Dogs: Legion multiplayer supports cross-play on all platforms, meaning it does not matter if you and your party are playing the game on different platforms. The game releases on October 29, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It releases on November 10, 2020, for Xbox Series X and November 12, 2020, on Xbox Series X/S. Multiplayer release is scheduled for December 3, 2020.
