One of the most commonly asked questions in Diablo 2 Resurrected is how to get or make an Insight item. Many players wonder this because it’s one of the most useful items and Rune Words to put on your mercenary, as it adds some nice passive mana regeneration. In this guide, we will show you how to make Insight in Diablo 2 Resurrected.

How to make Insight in Diablo 2 Resurrected
To make Insight in Diablo 2 Resurrected, you will need the following:
- Normal Polearm base item with four open sockets.
- Ral Rune.
- Tir Rune.
- Tal Rune.
- Sol Rune.
Insight is also known as the RalTirTalSol Rune Word. All of these runes can come from Nightmare (or higher) Countess runs. You can also get the Tal and Ral rune for completing the Rescue on Mount Arreat quest in Act V from Qual-Kehk.
What does Insight do in Diablo 2 Resurrected?
Insight adds the following magical properties to a four-socket polearm:
- Level 12-17 Meditation Aura When Equipped
- 35% Faster Cast Rate
- 200-260% Enhanced Damage
- +9 to Minimum Damage
- 180-250% Bonus to Attack Rating
- Adds 5-30 Fire Damage
- +75 Poison Damage over 5 seconds
- +1-6 to Critical Strike
- +5 to all Attributes
- +2 to Mana after each kill
- 23% Magic Find
Most notably, Insight grants the wielder of this item Meditation Aura, which also applies to your character when wielded by your Mercenary. Meditation Aura increases manage regeneration, and it’s basically the same effect as the Mana Recharge shrine. It stacks with other mana regeneration skills like Warmth, making it a great item for any mana user class in Diablo 2 Resurrected.
Insight also adds some decent damage to the item and grants Mana after each kill. Overall, it’s an excellent item to regenerate Mana, which nearly all classes will be lacking due to pumping stats into Vitality above all else.
Where to find a good Insight base item in Diablo 2 Resurrected
You will need to find a normal Polearm as the base item for the Insight recipe. The best spot to get a four-socket open Polearm is by clearing Nightmare or Hell difficulty Secret Cow Levels because of the high mob density. You can also get them randomly from killing monsters throughout Nightmare or Hell difficulty, so it’s not limited to just Cows.
Ideally, since this is going on your Mercenary and won’t lose durability, you can use an Ethereal Polearm. That’s not completely necessary, though, and it’s just another way to min-max your character. The main thing that matters with Insight is the Meditation aura, not the damage.
