Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is one of the most popular team-based first-person shooter games of all time. It’s consistently topping the steam charts with hundreds of thousands of concurrent players at any time of the day. Unfortunately, you are bound to encounter some less friendly teammates at some point during your game.

CS:GO Auto-Mute Solution Being Implemented By Valve

Valve might have an easy solution to help mitigate the issue. They are working on an auto-mute solution that will mute any verbally abusive players if they receive enough complaints. Those players would then be muted by all other players by default. The offenders will have to earn enough experience to become unmuted again. Players would be able to unmute any auto-muted player like normal if they want.

“Because the new system is driven by reports, it lets players establish their own standards for communication and ensure that their fellow players receive anonymous feedback when they’re out of line.”

They have apparently already started tracking complaints with the new system, so you can do your part by reporting any verbally abusive players in your next matches.
