Call of Duty: Best Type 63 loadout in Cold War

Call of Duty: Best Type 63 loadout in Cold War

The Type 63 is one of the most powerful tactical rifles in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. As a semi-automatic weapon, Type 63 boasts severe damage and accurate shots. Using the right attachments can turn this weapon into a two to three-tap kill machine.

For players that enjoy a mid to long-range playstyle, this is one gun you might want to focus on leveling up. It has near-perfect accuracy, which makes it a good option if you have some precise aim. It’s a nice change of pace from running primary weapons like the Pelington.

We came up with what we believe to be two of the best Type 63 loadouts in Black Ops Cold War. One loadout utilizes the Gunfighter Wildcard, while the other allows you to switch it up with other Wildcards like Perk Greed or Danger Close.

Call of Duty: Best Type 63 loadout in Cold War

Here’s the best Type 63 class setup in Cold War:

  • Optic: Millstop Reflex / Visiontech 2x
  • Muzzle: Spetsnaz Compensator
  • Barrel: 21.5″ Task Force
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Ergonomic Grip
  • Magazine: 30 Rnd Speed Mag

The first loadout we’re looking at it without the three additional attachments you get with Gunfighter. You don’t necessarily need the extras to make this gun a beast. To start, we go with either the Millstop Reflex or the Visiontech 2x for two-times magnification, which seems to be the sweet spot for this tactical rifle. Optics are always a personal preference, though, so use what you like.

We want to correct the recoil, which can be accomplished with the Spetsnaz Compensator and Spetsnaz Ergonomic Grip. These two attachments provide an overall 35% Vertical and 40% Horizontal recoil control.

To make this weapon even more effective at mid and long-range, we also throw on the 21.5″ Task Force barrel for an extra 9% Damage, 100% Effective Damage Range, and 50% Bullet Velocity. Finally, we’re going with the 30 Rnd Speed Mag for a 20% increase in starting ammo and capacity, along with a 25% reload bonus.

Alternative Loadout (No Gunfighter)

Here’s a good variant of the loadout for those players that like to run Gunfighter:

  • Optic: Millstop Reflex / Visiontech 2x
  • Muzzle: Spetsnaz Compensator
  • Barrel: 21.5″ Task Force
  • Body: KGB Target Designator
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Ergonomic Grip
  • Magazine: 30 Rnd Speed Mag
  • Handle: Gru Elastic Wrap
  • Stock: KGB Pad

We’re going with a similar loadout here, but with three additional attachments. First, the KGB Designator body increases the reveal distance by 60%. In other words, enemies show up with a marker over their heads a bit further away than usual.

Next up, the Gru Elastic Wrap significantly increases ADS speed and flinch resistance. If you come around a corner and someone is already looking your way, this will prove to be a lifesaver. The handle comes with some strings attached, though. It reduces Shooting Move Speed and Sprint to Fire Speed by 15%, but we’ll make up for it with the KGB Pad. The stock increases Sprint to Fire Time by 30% and Aim Walking Movement Speed by 40%.

Overall, either of these two loadouts will decimate the competition. You will be leveling up in no time and racking up the frags with the two-taps. We recommend running Stimshot with this loadout, as it’s a must-have for all multiplayer modes. Good luck, soldier!
