Season 3 is just around the corner, and I, for one, am excited. Yesterday, we got a firsthand look at the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3 roadmap. Some of it, at least. While Raven is holding Warzone close to its chest, we have some intel on what to expect in Cold War Multiplayer in S3. Here’s a look at some of the confirmed upcoming changes for Warzone, Multiplayer, and Zombies for S3.
Black Ops Cold War & Warzone Season 3 roadmap
CoD BOCW Multiplayer Season 3 Roadmap
Here’s what’s on the CoD BOCW Multiplayer season 3 roadmap:
- Multiplayer maps: Yamantau, Diesel, Standordd, Duga.
- Multiplayer modes: Sticks and Stones, Multi-Team Elimination.
- Scorestreak: Strafe Run.
Black Ops 2 fans can rejoice because Standoff is coming back. Rumors and speculation about this map have been circulating, but we’ve finally gotten confirmation. For my money, Standoff is the best map in Call of Duty history. If you’ve never played it before, then you’re in for a treat.
Aside from Standoff, we’re getting three new maps in the form of Duga, Diesel, and Yamantau. It’s hard to say what these maps will be like just from the road map, so the jury’s still out. Sticks and Stones is also making a comeback as a game mode, and multi-team elimination will be a seasonal mode during S3.
Interestingly, we’re also getting our hands on a new killstreak: Strafe. It’s nothing new by any means. It’s essentially just a Rolling Thunder, but it’s nice that it’s coming back.
Warzone Season 3 Roadmap
Here’s what’s on the Warzone season 3 roadmap:
- Warzone map update.
- New Warzone event: Hunt for Adler.
On the Warzone front, we’ve got confirmation of a new map (which we already knew) and a tease for a new event called “Hunt for Adler.” We don’t know much about the event, but we’re looking forward to it.
Zombies Season 3 Roadmap
Here’s what’s on the roadmap for BOCW Zombies season 3:
- Outbreak regions: Duga.
- Field upgrade: Toxic Growth.
- Outbreak vehicles: Cargo Truck, Fav.
- Outbreak intel.
Zombies mode is what’s leading the charge heading into Season 3. There’s much new zombie-related content coming to Warzone, including an entirely new region of the map, new intel, a new field upgrade, vehicles, weapons, operators, and more.
Weapons and Operators Season 3 Roadmap
Finally, we get to the good stuff, which is an arsenal of new weapons and operators for players to enjoy:
- Weapons: PPSH-41, Swiss K31, Ballistic Knife, CARV.2, AMP63, Baseball Bat.
- Operators: Knight (in-season), Wraith, Captain Price, Antonov (in-season).
