Best Solo Classes in World of Warcraft Dragonflight

Solo experience can be good when you know which class to play.

When World of Warcraft first came out it was a shockingly good MMORPG experience allowing players from all over the world to team up and do quests, clear dungeons, and beat powerful bosses. However, some fans of the classic solo RPG experience were left in the shadows of this famous team game so they have been trying to find a perfect class that will allow them to play the game without anyone’s help.

The situation hasn’t changed till this day, and even though the mass of players enjoys teaming up in WoW, many still prefer to play WoW Dragonflight solo. This is why we decided to present to you some of the best solo classes that can help you experience WoW to the fullest.

Paladin

The Paladin class has been popular for a while now among many solo players. The sustain you get when playing Paladin is hardly matched by any other class. Defensive abilities such as Ardent Defender allow you to reduce all incoming damage by 20% for 8 seconds but what’s more important is that while this ability is active, an enemy attack that would usually be the killing blow would instead bring you to 20% of your maximum health.

Paladin’s Lay on Hands is a great emergency heal option that heals you or an ally target for the same amount as your maximum HP. In reality, this means you practically have two lives, as you can go from 1% HP to 100% instantly, and most of your allies will feel a similar effect.

The Paladin class is great for anyone who liked Crusader in Diablo 3. If you like a tanky build that will let you take reduced damage from all kinds of attacks, have big buffs, and crowd-control spells that clear waves of enemies, then this class is perfect for you.

Warlock

Another great choice for playing Dragonflight solo is to pick a Warlock. Warlocks are great for leading large minion armies and dealing massive DoT damage and clearing waves of enemies that way.

If you choose to play around with summons, Demonology Warlock is the place to go. The build revolves around summoning and mana regen spells. You will be spamming minions to do the fighting for you and this build actually excels in single-target damage while it can also clear waves of enemies with minion cleave abilities. You will have high mobility and strong AoE nukes when you have a big enough mana pool.

The second option is playing Affliction Warlock, an option for anyone who likes to be able to stand and fight against many enemies and wait for them to die with piled-up DoT effects. Keeping a target under Agony and Corruption, strong DoT spells that dash out Shadow damage will enable you to deal with strong bosses with no problems.

In the end, Warlock is for anyone who likes spellcasters and isn’t afraid of some more clicking and calculating throughout the gameplay.

Priest

The Priest is one of the most popular casters currently in the game. This popularity comes from its great team play abilities such as buffing up ally damage and healing them. However, this doesn’t mean that Priest can’t be played as a solo class. Far from it.

If you go for a Shadow Priest you will see that you can be a quite powerful solo player relying on the Power Infusion spell that increases your haste, meaning you do everything faster – from attacking to casting spells and regening resources. You will also need to rely on Devouring Plague, a damage spell that heals you in the process, making it the perfect survivability tool for a single player.

Discipline Priest will allow you to dash out a lot of damage while also having some strong healing spells on your hand. With this Priest, you can even cast spells while moving around which is crucial for dodging enemy damage in a solo play.

Druid

Druids are among the most versatile classes in WoW. You can use Balanced Druid to do AoE damage and kill big groups of enemies. He relies on Moonfire and Sunfire spell combo (20% spell damage each) for individual enemies and wreaks havoc on groups of enemies with Starfall which is a non-channeled AoE spell that creates a rain of devastating stars.

Guardian Druid will give you a tanky experience with a big health pool and spells like Ironfur that boost your armor. Damage will be dealt with Convoke of the Spirits which lets Druid cast multiple spells at once and deal heavy damage.

While using Bear form you can rely on Maul and Trash spells, the first being for single targets while the second one is an AoE attack dealing with multiple enemies.

Demon Hunter

Demon Hunters are the most popular DPS class in Dragonflight due to their excellent damage output and great survivability and escape. Blur is a defensive spell with double benefits – it increases your chance to dodge attacks by 50% while reducing all damage taken by 20%. This is further boosted with Netherwalk which makes you immune to damage and increases your movements speed by 100%.

Chaos Nova will be the weapon of choice when it comes to damage dealing as it deals damage to all enemies near you while stunning them for 2 seconds. Soul cleave is a great AoE spell that will even heal you when you use it and you can pair it with Fel Devastation which burns enemies in front of you dealing fire damage over time.

Demon Hunter is probably the closest thing to a solo warrior in some of the classic single-player-only RPGs. He can deal solid damage, heal himself and escape when necessary to reset and go in again.
