We’re going to go over the three best Dark Arts Talents in Hogwarts Legacy. Needless to say, we’re dealing with the Unforgivable Curses here. Without them, there’s not much to the Dark Arts playstyle. So, if you’re not planning on learning them, the Dark Arts Talent tree might not be for you.

Blood Curse

Blood Curse is unlocked at level five, despite it being one of the best Dark Arts Talents in all of Hogwarts Legacy. With it, dealing damage to any cursed target will also inflict damage to all other cursed enemies. The damage it inflicts isn’t the full original amount — it’s more of a bleed-style effect.

However, Curse spells are very good at cursing a lot of enemies quickly. So if you have four or five enemies all taking damage every time you hit one of them — that damage is going to exponentially increase very quickly.

Crucio Mastery

Crucio Mastery is the best Dark Arts Talent in the game. Avada Kedavra Mastery may be stronger on paper, but that spell is only as good as it is because of this one.

Crucio Mastery modifies your Crucio Curse. With it, striking an enemy that’s been cursed by Crucio releases a projectile that seeks and Curses nearby enemies.

With just one Crucio and a couple of stuns, it’s possible to Curse an entire camp of enemies — allowing the rest of your Curse Talents like Blood Curse to really shine.

Avada Kedavra Mastery

Last but not least, we have Avada Kedavra Mastery. On paper, this is the strongest Dark Arts Talent, and it’s not even close. However, it does have a few downsides that prevent it from being that powerful in practice.

With Avada Kedavra Mastery, casting Avada Kedavra on a Cursed enemy kills all other Cursed enemies. This, needless to say, is busted.

Combine this Talent with Crucio Mastery and you can clear out entire encounters — boss and all, in a matter of seconds.

However, the downsides to this Talent lie in Avada Kedavra itself — which has a terribly long cooldown, limiting how useful this Talent is. Beyond that, Crucio Mastery is really needed to make this Talent as good as it is — without it, it’s not nearly as powerful.

Those three Dark Arts Talents are easily the most powerful in Hogwarts Legacy. They might even be the most powerful Talents, full stop. Follow Gamer Journalist on Facebook for more Hogwarts Legacy tips and tricks like this, as well as guides from the wider world of gaming.
