Best Classes to Use For Shipment in Modern Warfare 2

People used to work here. Now it's just a ghost ship.

The beloved Shipment map has returned with Modern Warfare 2. Being up there with the likes of Nuke Town, Shipment is a close quarters map which is non-stop action and fun. Whilst at times it may be rage inducing, its quality lies within its level design. With containers strategically placed for cover, to hide in and surprise enemies. Shipment is a mode which if you are good enough, can result in getting the MGB Nuke (30 Killstreak). These are the best Shipment Classes to use in Modern Warfare 2.

The Best Shipment Classes

TAQ-56: The Runner

Class Setup

  • Primary: TAQ- 56 Minibak
  • Secondary: Riot Shield
  • Tactical: Stim
  • Lethal: Semtex/ Drill Charge
  • Perk Package: Scavenger, Overkill, Fast Hands (Bonus) & Quick Fix (Ultimate)
  • Field Upgrade: Battle Rage & Munitions Box

Gun Setup

  • Stock: Otrezat
  • Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum (Increase Recoil Stabilization to +0.80 and Aiming Idle Stability to +0.25)
  • Laser: FSS OLE-V
  • Rear Grip: True-Tac (Decrease Sprint to Fire Speed -0.30)
  • Mag: Minibak Grip

The Minibak is an excellent choice for Shipment. All modifications on this weapon is to improve the overall mobility of the gun. That was you can jump and drop shot with ease when taking on fights. The Stim is crucial to staying alive in this fast-paced area. The best thing you can do is spawn-trap the enemies by learning their spawn spot and keeping them there. Alternatively, to make it harder for the opposition to come back in the fight, push every spawn before the enemies are able to return to the fight in time. Best time to run in is after 2 enemies spawn in. This setup is catered towards players who play hyper aggressive and are always on the move.

You can use the Semtex as a means of sticking it inside containers where enemies are hiding or placing down on the floor of their spawn. Alternatively, you can use the Drill Charge for enemies camping inside containers. The modifications are specifically used to increase your mobility with the TAQ-56, therefore its ADS speed is a little slower than what we would typically see with SMGs. However, this is such an overwhelming class to use that you will have more than enough time to take down 2-3 enemies within a few seconds and get out before you are overwhelmed by the opposition.

The Riot Shield will be incredibly useful as you are running around and repositioning. As it is such a close-quarters map, this will give you the edge over the opposition as you will be harder to kill. The Battle Rage will be crucial towards the end of the killstreak of obtaining the Nuke. You should pop this only when things are getting tough and you are likely being focussed for your SMG/Riot setup. You will stand out amongst the team with this setup so keep that in mind. Scavenger and Munitions Box will help you replenish the necessary ammo and equipment you need to continue surviving on the field.

MX9: The Farmer

Class Setup

  • Primary: MX9
  • Secondary: X13 Auto
  • Tactical: Stim
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Perk Package: Double Time, Scavenger, Fast Hands (Bonus) & Quick Fix (Ultimate)
  • Field Upgrade: Battle Rage & Munitions Box

Gun Setup

  • Barrel: 508mm Rear Guard (Decrease Recoil Steadiness -0.50 & ADS Speed -0.40)
  • Muzzle: FTAC Castle Comp (Increase Recoil Stability +0.80 & Aiming Idle Speed +0.30)
  • Comb: FTAC C11 Riser (Decrease Recoil Stability -0.40 & Aiming Idle Speed -0.20)
  • Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 (Decrease Recoil Steadiness -1.00 & Sprint to Fire Speed -0.40)
  • Mag: 32 Rounds

Similar to using the TAQ-56, these Shipment Classes relies on speed and efficiency to gaining kills. You need to be able to hit critical shots from the chest upwards to utilize the 32 Round Mag. Gaining yourself 2-3 kills per mag as you blitz through the lobby. This gun is not as quick as the Minibak but it is equally as effective. You should play a little bit slower with this gun in hand as your mobility is not as high as it is with the Minibak. Using the containers and covers around the Shipment to extend your life. For Shipment, Stim, Scavenger and Munitions Box are essential in surviving for the longest amount of time. Your lethal can be swapped out with whatever you are most comfortable playing with.

You do not want to play as fast-paced with this gun as you normally would with SMGs. Pick off enemies that are oblivious to your position and then reposition. Be aware at all times of the spawns and try to trap them so that you can farm kills. This gun is best used mid-close range, do not attempt to pick off enemies from across the map as you will easily get picked off. Quick Fix and Battle Rage are incredibly useful in a Shipment Class to extend your life longer. These are great for aiming to obtain the Nuke in Shipment. Do not play hyper aggressive with this setup however as you will be punished for overextending.

M4: The Tank

Class Setup

  • Primary: M4
  • Secondary: P890
  • Tactical: Stim
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Perk Package: Scavenger, Bomb Squad, Fast Hands (Bonus) & Quick Fix (Ultimate)
  • Field Upgrade: Munitions Box & Trophy System

Gun Setup

  • Stock: Tempus P80 Strike (Decrease Aim Walk Steadiness -3.90 & Aiming Idle Stability -1.05)
  • Muzzle: RF Crown 50 (Increase Recoil Stability +0.80 & Increase Gun Kick Control +0.20)
  • Barrel: Tempus Trench Pro (Increase Recoil Steadiness +0.20 & decrease Damage Range -0.30)
  • Rear Grip: XTEN (Increase Recoil Steadiness +0.85 & decrease Aiming Idle Stability -0.40)
  • Mag: 60 Rounds

This M4 Shipment Class will make you the tank of the lobby. The goal is not to rush all of the enemies but to hold down a fort, repositioning when needed and lasting as long as possible. By using the Stim, Bomb Squad and Trophy System, this will keep you alive for longer against the enemies’ equipment. Because the gameplay will be slower, you will likely go up against players who will be throwing their flash, stuns and grenades down. The Trophy System will hinder the equipment and when you have Bomb Squad equipped, you will take reduced damage from any explosives where your Trophy System is not available.

This setup gives you more time to get picks, reposition and survive longer. You can play slower and smarter with the M4, unlike most players who will be running around guns blazing on Shipment. Due to its close-quarter gameplay, you will be able to get kills across the map from oblivious enemies. You can use your teammates who will likely send the oppositions spawn to get picks from afar. Play slow and smart with the M4 to get yourself the Nuke. The M4 Shipment Class will let you survive longer than using a SMG Class. Not only this but it has mobility so you will be able to reposition, jump and drop shot people with ease. With its large Mag capacity of 60 Rounds, you can take down 3-4 enemies if you are in a good position.

BRYSON-800: The One-Hitter

Class Setup

  • Primary: BRYSON-800
  • Secondary: Riot Shield
  • Tactical: Stim
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Perk Package: Scavenger, Overkill, Fast Hands (Bonus) & Quick Fix (Ultimate)
  • Field Upgrade: Munitions Box & Battle Rage

Gun Setup

  • Stock: Sawed Off Mod
  • Muzzle: Bryson Improved Choke (Decrease Tighter Pellet Spread -0.05 & ADS Speed -0.20)
  • Barrel: 29.5 Rifled (Decrease Aim Walking Speed -0.30 & ADS Speed -0.20)
  • Guard: Demo X50 Tactical Pump (Decrease Aim Walking Steadiness -0.08 & Recoil Steadiness -0.10)
  • Laser: 7MW Canted

Fast Hands will be essential when reloading the Bryson. In combination with the Scavenger and Munitions Box to replenish ammo and equipment so that you never run out of Shotgun ammo. Similar to the SMG Shipment Classes, the Bryson will require a lot of equipment to keep you alive. This includes the Stim, as you will have noted used in all other Shipment Classes. The use of the Riot Shield, similar to the TAQ-56 is because you will likely be targeted from behind as you run through the map. The Shield will help you tremendously in repositioning or turning around to kill whoever is behind you. It will keep you alive for longer, giving you extra seconds to react to the bullets in your back.

You can play this similarly to if you were holding a SMG, running through the lobby aiming to take down those who have just spawned in. The Bryson with this setup will almost always one-shot kill the enemies. Therefore, you can get in more kills in a shorter space of time that if you were using any of the other guns on this list. However, keep in mind that this, much like the TAQ is a toxic loadout. Especially with the use of the Riot Shield, you will likely become a target in the match. Alternatively, you can use dual pistols, Akimbo instead of the Shield if you are feeling hyper aggressive and confident in your abilities. The Shield however, will prove efficient for those getting used to playing with a Shotgun.

We hope this list on the best Shipment Classes to use in Modern Warfare 2 was helpful. Remember with each gun requires a different playstyle. However, all can easily get the Nuke on Shipment. We recommend starting with the M4 as being the easiest gun to master. The SMGs are best used on Shipment as our main recommendation, with the Bryson being the hardest to master in the fast-paced action-packed Shipment modes.
