Of course, as the game is currently in Beta, there are sure to be more guns added to the game at launch. These are simply the best ones you can use currently. Best Guns in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Weapons Tier List

Our tier-list ranges from the worst, D-tier, and goes straight to the top, S-tier. It’s important to note that there are a lot of guns here and while we may not have liked others as much, that doesn’t mean you won’t. So try what you want and see how they feel. Though, the D-tier guns really aren’t worth your time at all.

S-tier

These are the best weapons in the game and will serve you well even without attachments.

• M16 (assault rifle)
• Lachmann Sub (submachine gun)

A-tier

These weapons are close to perfection, also offering something worth trying.

• Expedite 12 (shotgun)
• Signal 50 (sniper rifle)

• Kastov 740 (assault rifle)
• FTAC Recon (battle rifle)
• X12 (handgun)

B-tier

These weapons are alright and will most definitely get the job done.
