Animal Crossing New Horizons May Day Schedule

May Day event in Animal Crossing New Horizons begins on May 1 and ends on May 7. This new seasonal event will overlap with the Nature Day event.

What happens during the May Day event?

During the first week of May, players can use a May Day Ticket at Dodo Airlines. Using the ticket allows players to go on a limited-time tour of a unique island different from all the other mystery islands.

Nintendo’s April 23 Free Update trailer showed us some clues about the event.

First, we know the mystery island is a maze-like island. Players will likely have to navigate through the island and possibly collect resources. There are also rumors that a special guest visitor will be waiting for you on the island.

Rover in Animal Crossing New Horizons May Day Event

If you look at the top right corner of the image above, you can catch a glimpse of Rover. This is one of the first characters introduced in the original Animal Crossing games, and he would typically help players set up their game for the first time.

It’s unclear what his purpose will be during this event, but it’s nice to see a familiar face making his way back into Animal Crossing.

How to Prepare for May Day

While we’re not completely sure what the event will entail, we still have some tips to help players get prepared. First, make sure you have some new tools on you in case there are a lot of resources to be harvested.

It’s also a good idea to make sure you have lots of free inventory space, because you never know what you might have to carry back with you.
