All Main Bosses in Order in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

You will die, but at least you will die orderly.

There are two things that go through my mind when I read the title of this article. First, that it is quite a useful source of information to know what we are going to have to deal with in this game, which will help us prepare accordingly. Second, that even if you do know what you are going to face or not, you are going to see Sekiro’s death screen not twice, but hundreds of times. Here are all main bosses in order in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Genichiro AshinaGenichiro Ashina is a boss you will need to battle three times throughout your adventure. The first one at the end of the prologue, the second one atop Ashina Castle, and the third one at the end of the game.Ashina Castle
Lady ButterflyTwo-phase boss. Lady Butterfly is really aggressive and fast, so watch out for her ranged and airborne attacks.Hirata Estate
Folding Screen MonkeysThis battle is unique, since it acts more like a puzzle other than a regular boss battle. You will need to find and kill four monkeys, using the Illusive Hall Bell to prevent them from escaping.Hall of Illusion, Senpou Temple
Guardian ApeThe Guardian Ape is also a two-phased boss, but you will battle it two times. The first time is a normal beast battle, so be sure to deplete the two health bars to deal the supposed death blow.Sunken Valley Passage
Corrupted MonkThis battle is an illusion of the real boss battle that happens later in the game. It is a pretty easy battle, so defeat him and continue your way through Mibu Village.Mibu Village
Isshin AshinaA pretty normal battle, being a slower enemy than the rest. Defeat him and continue.Ashina Castle
Great Shinobi OwlThis Owl is pretty deadly, so be sure to be quick and dodge its attacks. Get your tools working and defeat this boss by stunning it and dealing severe amounts of damage.Ashina Castle
Guardian Ape (Headless)This battle is similar to the Guardian Ape battle (minus the head). However, in the second phase, there will be a second Headless Ape summon. Focus on the original Headless Ape to complete the battle.Ashina Depths
True Corrupted MonkThe real battle with the Corrupted Monk. It is a three phased battle. The first one is similar to the fight in Mibu Village. During the second one, the Monk will summon shadow illusions. In the third phase, the Monk will become more aggressive, and you will be attacked by its demon centipede.Fountainhead Palace
Divine DragonYou will first have to defeat a couple of dragons, and then you will have to fight the Divine Dragon. You will need to grapple along trees and shoot lightning spears at the Dragon, effectively defeating him in a very simple battle.Fountainhead Palace
Owl (Father)This is similar to the previous Owl fight, but, since this battle takes place in the past, the Owl will be in his prime. That means, higher difficulty, so keep dodging.Hirata Estate
Demon of HatredAn optional battle after defeating the Divine Dragon, this battle will have you trying to be as close as you can to the Demon. Be cautious of his continuous stomping.Ashina Outskirts
Emma, The Gentle BladeBe careful in this battle, since immediately after you will face the final boss. Emma will deal a lot of damage thanks to her combo attacks, so time your attacks accordingly.Ashina Castle
