Demonologist is a co-op horror game that allows players to hunt down ghosts, demons, ghouls, and all kinds of other paranormal entities! Similar to Phasmophobia, the goal of Demonologist is to identify the type of ghost haunting a cursed location. Unlike Phasmophobia, however, you actually have to exorcise the ghost before you’re done with an investigation in Demonologist. It may be more of a hassle, but it does make the game a lot scarier!
It’s been pointed out before by many fans that Demonologist is eerily similar to Phasmophobia, and these accusations are backed by a surprusing number of similarities between the two games. One of the many similarities between Demonologist and Phasmophobia is the large number of huntable ghost types. Just like in Phasmophobia, Demonologist has two dozen ghost types, each with their own sets of characteristics. Check out the list below if you want to discover all of the ghost types and characteristics in Demonologist!
All Ghost Types and Characteristics in Demonologist
Just like in Phasmophobia, there are numerous different types of huntable ghosts in Demonologist. Each type of ghost has its own special set of characteristics, which players will need to memorize in order to figure out what type it is.
Identifying the type of ghost that you’re dealing with is essential to the success of your playthrough in Demonologist. Unlike in Phasmophobia, you actually need to exorcise the spirit before you can leave a cursed location, and if you try to exorcise the wrong spirit, it could have disastrous consequences for your playthrough!
Each ghost type leaves behind its own distinctive set of evidence. By cataloging this evidence and noting its characteristics, you’ll be able to identify the ghost with no problem! There is a set of 7 categories that you’ll be able to utilize in order to catalog evidence and identify the ghost: Spirit Box Response, Fingerprints, Ectoplasm Stains, EMF, ESG, Easel Canvas Drawings, and Freezing Temperatures (thermometer).
