We’re here in the second week of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7, and the second part of the five-stage quest from Abstrakt is to deal some explosive damage. It’s easier said than done when you get down to it, but luckily, there is a new vehicle this season perfect for the job. Or should we say, a new “object.” Here’s how to deal 500 explosive damage to opponents or structures in Fortnite.

If you do not have this challenge already, you will likely need to complete the first stage. The first part is to open seven chests in Lazy Lake or Corny Complex.

How to deal 500 Explosive Damage to Opponents or Structures in Fortnite

The easiest way to deal 500 explosive damage to opponents or structures is to utilize the new UFOs you see flying around the island. You can easily take one down by securing a weapon and shooting at them. When the health bar drops low enough, they should come in for a landing. Sometimes, an enemy will come out of them and try to take you down, so be prepared for that.

When a UFO is on the ground, walk up to it and look at the pilot area. Use your interact key to hop into it and start flying around. The UFO has a primary attack that counts as explosive damage, so you can left-click or press R1 to use this attack on enemies and structures. It does quite a bit of damage, and an easy way to knock this one out is by blasting down some enemy structures.

To recap, you’ll want to grab yourself a UFO, fly around and locate an enemy player, and take them down using the UFO’s secondary attack. As you begin reigning down lasers from the sky, the enemy will likely start building, which is where you’ll rack up all the explosive damage.
