The game also puts you in various situations where you need to figure things out on your own and it’s not always easy to do so.

Is it Possible to Mark the Map in Sons of the Forest?

Marking the map for locations valuable to you is definitely possible in Sons of the Forest and it can be done with a GPS locator. They will be marked with a purple mark on your GPS device.

Once you have a GPS locator, all you need to do is take a stick, put it into the ground, and place the GPS locator on top of it. That way you will always be able to find your favorite location like modern-day Hansel and Gretel. Moreover, you will be able to choose a custom icon that you want your GPS locator to display for you, so when you place multiple ones you know what each one represents.

Where Can You Find GPS Locators?

There are three GPS locators that you can find in Sons of the Forest and each one is attached to a dead body. As we mentioned, they will be marked with the purple mark on your map so you shouldn’t have trouble finding them.

Still, here’s a list of where the three GPS locators are:

• One is attached to a dead body hanging from a rock. You will need to climb the rock, cut the rope that is holding his body, and then come down again and pick up the GPS locator from his body.
• Another one is located on a floating raft. It’s not far out but you would have to swim to get to it. In the raft, there’s a dead guy who has a GPS locator attached to him.
• The last one will be in a bushy area in an unmarked grave. To get to this GPS locator you would need to have a shovel (see our guide on how to get the shovel) and dig out the buried body. On the body, you will see a GPS locator up for grabs.
