How to Walk on Your Front Legs in Goat Simulator

Put the goat in manual drive

Goat Simulator needs little introduction. The revolutionary game series sees its third installment as wacky as ever, with even more madness to unfold. Alongside the craziness, there will be moments when your skills will be required for quests. One of the trickier ones to do is walking on your front legs, where balance and focus is needed, which is a far cry from what usually is needed. Here is how to walk on your front legs in Goat Simulator.

Walking on your front legs in Goat Simulator 3

Walking on your front legs in Goat Simulator 3 requires some skill to get started, and more skill to get balanced. You may want to walk on your front legs purely to flex to your friends, but most likely to complete the quests that reward you for doing so for a certain period of time.

To kick start the walking, you need to move backwards, then really quickly move forwards. With a controller, this will essentially be a quick back and forth with the left analogue stick. With a keyboard, this will essentially be tapping ‘s’ then pressing ‘w’. You may need to work on the timings, but you’ll quickly have your goat walking on its front legs.

You’ll notice rather quickly, however, that your goat will tumble and fall over. This is alright, unless you need your goat to maintain the movement for a while fo a quest. For that, you’ll need to balance.

Balancing on your front legs in Goat Simulator 3

To balance on your front legs in Goat Simulator 3, you’ll need to make sure the way ahead is clear so you don’t run into anything. Then, start walking on your front legs. On the right, a bar will appear, with an orange bar. When the orange bar reaches one of the extremes, your goat will fall down, as its balance would have gone over.

Using your up and down keys, or your analogue stick, you’ll need to keep the orange bar in the middle. As you do this, your goat will maintain balance and walk forwards. If the bar hits one of the ends, you can secure more distance by jumping.

As soon as your balance is ruined, you’ll score points on your distance for you quest.
