Time-Space Anomaly (or Time-Space Abnormality as it is known in RO Global) is a recurring guild event in Ragnarok Origin that you can play biweekly. It allows you and your guildmates to challenge powerful bosses and defeat them for some pretty nice rewards.
This event is time-limited to 12 minutes during the day (check your game for the exact time for your time zone) so you need to be quick and efficient if you want to get the most out of it. Read on to find out all the important tips about the Time-Space Anomaly event in Ragnarok Origin.

How To Play the Time-Space Anomaly Event in Ragnarok Origin?
Before you dive into the Time-Space Anomaly event you need to know the basic details of it. It’s a single-player guild event that occurs every Tuesday and Saturday where you fight against a boss alone. You need to be at least level 35 to enter and you can play this event by going to your Guild Tab > Event > Time-Space Anomaly.
Still, you won’t be totally alone. You can mobilize up to 4 of your pets but the bosses change from time to time meaning that your pet choice and strategies need to change with them if you want to have maximum efficiency. If you need help with this, we have a great guide on how to catch a pet in RO and an article discussing the best pet for each class.
The more points you manage to get ahold of the more rewards you will get. Here are some of the additional things you need to pay attention to before jumping into this event:
Time Frame of Time-Space Anomaly Event
The Time-Space Anomaly Event lasts only 12 minutes and there is a 3-minute CD period each time you’ve finished fighting the boss. However, there’s a catch. The whole event is split into 3 parts that give various bonuses to your scores. They are:
- 0 to 4 minutes: When you battle the boss in this period you get 1x points.
- 4 to 8 minutes: In this period you get 2x points bonus.
- 8 to 12 minutes: Fighting the boss in this interval gives you 3x the points.
To get the most out of this event, we advise that you jump into the battle immediately as it begins, and continue to jump in as soon as those 3-minute CDs end. If you time everything right, you should be able to fight the boss once in the first period, once in the second period, and two times in the third period when you have the 3x points bonus. You can ask your Guild Master to use the Battle Horn bonus during the third period to give you and the others in the Guild fighting the boss extra buff.
Choose Your Team Carefully
Even though your character is fighting this one alone, you can bring up to 4 pets with you to help you. Choose them carefully and make sure you have a diverse enough team so that there is a DPS pet, a healing pet, and a tank pet. Naturally, you can make whichever pet formation you want but this is something that I’ve discovered works the best.
While you are distributing the positions of your character and your pets keep in mind that the Vanguard position will be the one that will take the agro from the Boss and most of his attacks. You can choose to tank the boss yourself while your pets heal you and buff your damage such as Munak. On the other hand, you can intentionally sacrifice the pet such as Bongun which decreases the boss’s defenses by 10% upon death.
Every time a new boss is spawned in the event it will be of a different type and of a different size. You need to pay close attention to which one you’re fighting this time and choose your pets accordingly to bring out the most damage. Below we listed all types of bosses in the game and their natural counters.
Boss type | Weak Against |
Neutral | No weaknesses |
Undead | Holy, Fire |
Ghost | Ghost |
Water | Wind |
Earth | Fire, Poison |

Buffing Yourself Up
If you want to maximize your damage output vs the boss (especially in that 3rd time period when you get 3x the points) you need to choose cards that deal extra damage to his type. Look at what you have, buy new cards if you need them from the Store, and have that ace up your sleeve for when you most need it. Also, make sure you check the Awakening bonuses for different cards as some of them don’t give you a bonus vs a particular type of enemy right off the bat, but once they are Awakened they do.
You also need to check your skills and activate those ones that can benefit you vs the boss that is in front of you. If you don’t have any direct counters to the boss type you’re facing, choose the ones that offer the best buffs or damage overall. On top of that, you can get converters to add one of the four elemental properties to your weapon – Water, Wind, Earth, and Fire.
Lastly, you can keep food boosts for both you and your pets to get those additional upgrades and really hit the boss with all you got.
