The next entry in the WWE 2K series will be WWE 2K22. There hasn’t been an entry in the series since 2019’s WWE 2K20 which was heavily disliked by fans and critics for being nearly unplayable due to a large number of bugs and glitches. After suffering a delay, WWE 2K22 will be releasing this March. New information was expected to be revealed by 2K this week but it appears to have been leaked early.
WWE 2K22 Cover Art and Pre-Order Details Revealed
Over the weekend, journalist Nils Ahrensmeier revealed details about the upcoming WWE game. The game’s cover will feature Rey Mysterio. Marketing for the game has heavily featured Mysterio, so this leak is not a surprise. There will also be an alternate cover featuring Mysterio for the game’s Deluxe Edition which will feature WWE 2K22, the Season Pass, and the Undertaker Immortal Pack.
The Undertaker Immortal Pack contains multiple versions of the Undertaker to play as well as other Undertaker-related items. This will be a pre-order bonus. It can also be accessed by purchasing the Deluxe Edition or the unannounced nWo 4-Life Edition. Nils went on to reveal that the game will have 3-day early access starting on March 8th for those who pre-order the game.
According to the official WWE2K Twitter account, an announcement about the game will be coming so it’s safe to assume that at least one of these leaks will be a part of that announcement.
