Blackwing Lair released earlier this month making Zul’Gurub the next big dungeon set to unlock for the World of Warcraft Classic community. According to an official Blizzard announcement on their forums today, the Phase 4 unlock is right around the corner.
Zul’Gurub is the classic troll raid added back in World of Warcraft 1.7 and was the first 20-man raid to be implemented into the game. The dungeon consisted of ten different bosses, with the main boss being Hakkar. Players could earn 3,000 reputation points with the Zandalar Tribe for full-clearing the dungeon.
WoW Classic Zul’Gurub Release Date
Zul’Gurub is set to release in World of Warcraft Classic on April 15 at 3:00 PM PDT. The news comes from an official Blizzard post on the Battle.net forums saying:
“With the WoW Classic PTR now open for business, we have a test environment where we can dig into some of the content that is coming soon to WoW Classic.
To be specific, our plan is to open Arathi Basin on all realms the week of March 10. At that time, we will also kick off the Battleground Holidays system.
We plan to open Zul’Gurub and release the fabled Dragons of Nightmare in April.”
Notable loot from Zul’Gurub includes Class Trinkets, Primal Hakkari Items, some new epic weapons, and two brand new mounts: Swift Zulian Tiger (shown below) and Swift Razzashi Raptor.
Also releasing in the Phase 4 content unlock are the Dragons of Nightmare. The four green dragons spawn inside of the Emerald Portals found in Feralas, Hinterlands, Duskwood, and Ashenvale.
