When Does Ooblets Come Out for Nintendo Switch?

I can't wait to dance with my Ooblets!!

Ooblets is a quirky farming and creature collection game developed by Glumberland. In the game, players can customize their aesthetic with various outfits and accessories, recruit a team of creatures — the titular Ooblets — for the most radical dance battles, and more! While it went into early access in 2020 on the Epic Games Store and Xbox Game Preview, it was announced to be releasing on the Nintendo Switch. So, when can you take Ooblets on the go?

When Does Ooblets Release on Switch?

As of this writing, the official website has a slated release window of Summer 2022. So, it looks like we’ll get to dance and farm alongside our strange Ooblet friends sooner than we think! In fact, according to the official Twitter account, when the game launches on Switch, it will also be exiting early access on PC and Xbox.

Here’s the official description of the game, via Glumberland:

New friends are plentiful in Ooblets! Spend your days renovating your farm, raising weird little pals, participating in card-based dance-offs, designing your house, and helping the mayor save Badgetown!

Will Ooblets Release on Other Platforms?

According to Glumberland, their intention is “to release on more platforms” after the version 1.0 launch. It is not clear what they mean specifically as of writing, but as we know the game will be available for PC, Xbox, and Switch, it could be that they intend on releasing a version for PlayStation consoles. Heck — maybe we can play on our smart-fridges?

Also — it doesn’t seem like Glumberland is considering a release for mobile devices. In the FAQ on their website, it asks if it will be a phone app or if it will be free to play. And, while they do not explicitly rule out a mobile version, they do say that the game is “just a normal game you buy with money, like you might buy a vacuum cleaner or a kebab.”
