Whether you celebrate Easter or not, I’m sure none of us are strangers to the odd scavenger hunt. Whether it’s for a holiday or you just misplaced the TV remote, you can’t deny that there’s something satisfying about finding a secret doodad lying in a bush somewhere. In the case of a real easter egg hunt, it’s mostly just a matter of little prizes and free hard-boiled eggs. In Fortnite, there’s a more practical reason. Here’s where to forage Bouncy Eggs in Fortnite.
As a part of Fortnite’s Easter weekend event, large, colorful Bouncy Eggs have been scattered across the island. When picked up, Bouncy Eggs provide the same benefits as hop rocks: a slight boost in shield, and a slight reduction in personal gravity. You see, ‘cause bunnies jump higher and it’s Easter and- well, you get it. It doesn’t really matter, though, because we’re not getting these things for their practical effects. During the event, collecting Bouncy Eggs will progress you toward completing the special set of weekly challenges. 10 Bouncy Eggs, in addition to a lump sum of battle pass XP, will net you the limited edition Tactical Quacks pickaxe.
Where to Forage Bouncy Eggs in Fortnite
Bouncy Eggs spawn at random on the ground or in loot boxes in regular and Team Rumble matches. They’ll pop up just about anywhere and can be freely picked right off the ground by interacting with them, though if you wanna make a concentrated effort, there are a few spots where they seem to appear in more plentiful numbers:
- Southeast of Colossal Crops
- An island bordering Coral Castle
- The island with the lighthouse
- The trees to the north of Stealthy Stronghold
- Northeast of Retail Row
- In the orange grass to the south of the southern Spire
Bear in mind, while there are five Bouncy Egg challenges, only the first will yield a tangible reward in the form of the Tactical Quacks pickaxe. The other four only pay out more Battle Pass experience, but it is a great time to level up quickly if you’re not busy. Just remember that a lot of players will probably be heading right to these spots at initial spawn, so don’t be surprised if you have to get in a few fights to get your hands on those eggs.
