Where to Find the Dead Drop in the Zaya Observatory in Warzone 2 DMZ

Grab a burger then hit the Dead Drop outside

With every Season reaching the regular DMZ droppers comes the arrival of brand new Dead Drops to locate and memorize. But players must remember where all of this started with Al Mazrah. The Dead Drops in Al Mazrah have seen more updates than ever as more get added into the fold and moved around fold. As there are Missions that require you to memorize these dumpster locations, such as White Lotus Tier 3 Mission, Pathfinder, this is Vincent’s guide on exactly where to find the Zaya Observatory Dead Drop in Al Mazrah.

Zaya Observatory Dead Drop Location

Whilst Zaya Observatory Dead Drop changed from Season 1, its located has stayed the same since Season 2. The Dead Drop Dumpster you need can be found inside the coordinates of F5. The best way to enter the Observatory is by coming in from the east hand side as if you were exiting out of Al Sharim Pass. You will want to climb to the peak of the region or stick to the road that leads straight to the Dead Drop as circled in the screenshot below. The area is known for having a higher threat level than others so for that reason you may wish to adopt a slower, stealthier approach. This is important for my fellow controller looters, as we are known to be slower on the sticks than a standard M&K player. Because of this, you should either sneak to the Dumpster to open the Dead Drop Menu or use a Vehicle to hide behind cover.

You can find Vehicles pretty much anywhere in Al Mazrah but if you are playing solo, it may be best to utilize the Cargo Truck. Whilst it will be a tight squeeze, it provides you with more safety than other Vehicles and will protect you for those few crucial seconds where an Operator could be lining their sniper shot or as a swarm of enemy AI hone in on your position.

The Dead Drop is located between the two horizontal buildings on the Map. It is against the Burger Joint Building and found next to the ladder onto the Burger Joint’s rooftop. This location is key to completing the White Lotus Tier 3 Mission, Pathfinder as players will need to use this exact Dead Drop to loot the GPS Tracker from inside. Upon obtaining the Tracker, players must use it to traverse across the Al Mazrah Map, hitting the named locations as pointed out by the Tracker. Finally, players need to safely exfil with the Tracker in hand.
