Where to Find Celebi in New Pokémon Snap

Aside from maybe Dialga, Celebi is the only Pokémon that possesses the ability to travel through time. It uses this skill to keep watch over the world’s forests. You know what it means when you encounter a Celebi in a forest? It means not only did you pick the right forest in the entire world, but the right forest at the precise moment in history when Celebi shows up. Talk about lucky. Here’s where to find Celebi in New Pokémon Snap.

Befitting its mystical nature, Celebi can be spotted in the mysterious Elsewhere Forest, one of the later courses unlocked in New Pokémon Snap. Elsewhere Forest is home to multiple sub-areas, each themed after particular seasons, broken up by strange passages of otherworldly fog. In order to see Celebi, you’ll need to venture down the correct path and through the proper sequence of areas. Luckily, this is easier than it sounds.

All you have to do to get to where Celebi is is to take the standard, straight route through the forest. Let the Neo-One go on its own without selecting any forks in the road. At the end of the course, you’ll find yourself in a small clearing populated mostly by some wandering Bewear. It is here that you can spot Celebi flying down from the sky. Make sure to get your camera ready, as it flies very quickly and can be easily missed.

You can get a picture of one of its other behaviors by finding a small pile of Fluffruit sitting at the bottom of a tree. If you throw an additional Fluffruit onto the pile, Celebi will fly down to have a snack, offering you a perfect shutter chance.

Incidentally, if you’ve already beaten the game’s main story, you can get an easier picture of Celebi flying by by turning Burst Mode on in the options. Burst Shots burn a lot of film, but it’s worth it to get that beautiful, sparkly shot.
