During the first-ever Disney and Marvel Games Showcase event, Gameloft dropped a surprising announcement trailer that is sure to blow the socks off of the player base of its latest title, Disney Dreamlight Valley. Though the game is currently only in an early access state, the future for this title is shining brightly due to its loveable world and fantastic gameplay. During the event, players were shown what’s next for the game, revealing that the beloved IP, Toy Story would be making its way into the game. But, when is Toy Story coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley? We’ve got the answer down below!
When is Toy Story Coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley?
This brand-new trailer gave players quite a bit to be excited for as it showed that they would be able to visit a new Realm made specifically for Toy Story, and resembles the room of the toys’ current owner, Bonnie. A cute and colorful Realm to be sure, players will be able to friend both Buzz and Woody, eventually pulling them over to the players’ town in the long run and exploring the world with them.
This new Realm will also feature a brand-new adventure for players to embark on with a whole new set of quests coming from everyone’s favorite space ranger and sheriff. Additionally, players will find all kinds of fantastic new Toy Story-inspired clothing looks as well as pieces of furniture too. It’s unclear whether these items will be purchasable through Scrooge McDuck’s Store or if these will need to be purchased using Moonstones as they have yet to talk about whether there are going to be items in the game that have to be purchased via microtransactions.
As far as a release date goes for this Toy Story expansion, there is no specific date or time revealed as of yet, aside from it being slated for the Fall of 2022. The developers have thrown around the notion that a big update will happen in the Fall of 2022 for a while now, so with this trailer confirming it to be true, there could be even more coming to the table when it drops in-game.
It’s also worth noting that the current Pixar Fest Star Path ends on October 11th which may indicate when the Toy Story expansion could enter the game. It would make sense for its release to coincide with a new Star Path’s start. Though this is just an assumption.
