To fully explain the sprawling areas located in Hogwarts Legacy, we first have to explain the multiple maps in the game. Throughout your time in the land, you’ll have three different maps to view. You have the overworld map, as well as the more detailed maps of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. These two separate maps are to help explore and travel through the very intricate layouts of Hogwarts, and help find the right shops you need in Hogsmeade. Unfortunately, any notable places that aren’t part of the expansive Hogwarts countryside won’t be available for players to explore. Places such as King’s Cross, Diagon Alley, and The Ministry of Magic just to name a few. However, the places that are available to explore will be sure to take your breath away.

As you can see from the pictures above, the overworld map in Hogwarts Legacy is expansive. You can explore areas such as the North Ford Bog, the Forbidden Forest, Coastal Cavern, and much much more. These areas house a variety of collectables, Field Guide pages, and more. The games main story will take you through a variety of locations around the map. While the majority of your playthrough might be spent in Hogwarts and Hogsmeade, the areas surrounding these larger points of interest provide just as much entertainment and content.
