Summit1g Rages About Footsteps in Warzone

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Call of Duty: Warzone has taken over as the number one Battle Royale game since it released on March 10th, 2020. Players are beginning to get a bit frustrated already, even though the game has only been out for two weeks.

Dr. Disrespect has been one streamer progressively getting more and more frustrated with Warzone as time goes on. His death during the Twitch Rivals Showdown on Wednesday almost made him break character.

Most recently, one Warzone incident made Summit1g go off on a rant about how the footsteps in this game make no sense, and we agree. When Warzone first launched, the footsteps were too loud so Infinity Ward tweaked them. Now, it’s basically impossible to hear when someone is right on top of you.

Summit1g asks, “can I get some footsteps, please? I don’t hear that guy until he’s on top of me? There’s no sound effects going on, there’s no explosions. It’s quiet as **** and I don’t hear that guy until he’s on top of me.”

Infinity Ward might have to do what Summit1g recommends, which is to “fix your game. Get some hotfixes. Listen to your community.”

As a free-to-play game, Infinity Ward NEEDS to retain their player base by constantly improving upon the game. Otherwise, who’s going to spend money on Warzone? The whole point of a free-to-play model is to make money through microtransaction, but soon there will be nobody left to buy anything.
