Every level in THPS has a secret tape location, for the exception of the competitions. Some of them are difficult to find, including this particular one. Here’s the Secret Tape location for the Downtown Minneapolis level in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.

The secret tape is on top of the roof area in the downtown Minneapolis level of THPS. You can head up to the roof by accessing the hidden tunnel via the ramp jump. You can also get up there without jumping. To do this, break through the glass behind the truck and follow the path upwards.

When you’re on the roof where you got the first Popcorn Bucket, go up another level. There’s a skate park on the top-most roof of the building. There is a small ramp with an arrow pointing towards the secret tape. You will need to build up some speed to make the jump.

We also recommend putting some points into Air, Hangtime, and Speed to make the jump a little easier. If you don’t know how to do that, check out our guide on how to increase your stats in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2

Gain some speed and make your way to the ramp. Jump as high as possible to get across to the other building, where the Secret Tape is located. You can try pressing Y to grind on the roof’s edge if you’re a bit short. Doing this will boost you up to the area if you missed, as I did in the video below.
