Roblox Arcane Odyssey Fishing Guide – How to Catch Every Fish

"It was THIS big!"

A friend of mine has a single criterion on which she bases all of her gaming first impressions: whether or not the game has a fishing minigame. If you can fish, she’ll play it, no doubt. Despite its relatively smaller scope compared to some other games, Arcane Odyssey does have a surprisingly in-depth fishing system, which means she’d probably play it. Here’s what you need to know about fishing in Arcane Odyssey, including how to catch every fish.

Roblox Arcane Odyssey Fishing Guide – How to Catch Every Fish

Fishing is a great way to make some quick cash in Arcane Odyssey, as well as a generally pleasant way to pass the time if you have nothing better to do. It’s a very simple process on the surface; just get yourself a fishing pole, cast your line into any body of water, and cross your fingers for a bite. You will need a fishing pole, which can be purchased at several shops around the world, as well as Bait, which you can buy from Baitmongers or occasionally find in chests.

There are three types of fishing poles available, each with their own stats:

  • Wooden Rod: Purchase from any fishmonger. No level requirement, balanced stats.
  • Bronze Rod: Purchase in Palo Town, requires at least level 30. Better at luring in fish, but less likely to catch rare ones.
  • Collector’s Rod: Purchase on Shell Island, requires at least level 50. Better at getting rare fish, but is less likely to lure fish.

If you get a bite on your hook, just mash the left mouse button as quickly as you can to reel it in. You can store any fish you catch in your inventory and sell them off to fishmongers. Just make sure you sell them quickly; fish will spoil after 31 real-world hours, after which they’ll be borderline worthless.

Fish Categories

Fish live in various different habitats, divided into three categories:

  • River fish: Fish found in flowing rivers
  • Freshwater fish: Fish found in inland bodies of water like ponds or lakes
  • Ocean fish: Fish found in the ocean

Within these categories, fish are divided further by the region they dwell in and the time of day that they show up. If you have your eye on a particular fish, make sure to cast your line at a time and place they’d be.
