Today is launch day for Minecraft Dungeons, the new hack and slash game from Mojang Studios. Many players are looking to try out this new action RPG for the first time today. However, some people are seeing an error preventing them from opening the game. If you see Minecraft Dungeons Game Ownership Not Established, we have a fix for you.
Minecraft Dungeons Game Ownership Not Established
Upon opening Minecraft Dungeons, some users see “Game Ownership Not Established” errors pop-up. The message reads: “Sorry, you don’t appear to own Minecraft Dungeons on this account. Make sure that you are signed in to the correct Xbox Live account and restart the game.”
First, restart your Xbox or whatever platform you’re playing on and try opening the game again. If you see the error once again, you need to double-check your Xbox Live Account is correct. Make sure it’s the one where you own Minecraft Dungeons, and not somebody else’s account.
Once that’s done, you should try opening the game again. If the problem persists, completely sign out of your Xbox Live or Microsoft Account and log back in to force a refresh. After completing these steps and verifying you’re in the correct account, the issue should stop.
