Marvel Future Revolution: Release Date and Heroes

With the sheer ubiquity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its associated properties, it’s always a little jarring when a new Marvel game springs up that’s completely unassociated with it. Though, I suppose that’s nothing new; there are entire wiki pages dedicated to the sheer number of alternate continuities Marvel has created for their characters. The newest one is a free-to-play mobile game, Marvel Future Revolution. Here’s the Marvel Future Revolution release date and what heroes will appear in it.

While Marvel has released plenty of mobile games before, this will be the brand’s first open-world mobile game. Specifically, a “Primary” world composed of fragments from Earths located all over the multiverse. A coalition of Marvel heroes have formed Omega Flight, a team tasked with defending the Primary Earth from all sorts of wild threats, that’ll venture beyond the boundaries of reality for a variety of hub-based missions.

Marvel Future Revolution: Release Date

Marvel Future Revolution will be releasing on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store on August 25 for Android and iOS devices, respectively. Global pre-registration is already open on both storefronts, and anyone that does pre-register will receive an in-game gift box at launch that contains some nifty cosmetic items for your heroes.

Speaking of heroes, who’s on the menu this time around?

Marvel Future Revolution: Heroes

Marvel Future Revolution will feature the following eight playable heroes:

  • Black Widow
  • Captain America
  • Captain Marvel
  • Doctor Strange
  • Iron Man
  • Spider-Man
  • Star-Lord
  • Storm

It’s nice to see the X-Men getting some representation on the roster; MCU-related stuff always leaves them out. Anyway, all of these characters will have a multitude of cosmetic items available that you can mix and match into nearly 400 million different combination costumes, and that’s per hero.

Incidentally, this game is being developed by Netmarble Monster, whose work you’ll be familiar with if you played Marvel’s previous mobile endeavor, Marvel Future Fight.
